Datura stramonium Leaves Mucilage Aided Buccoadhesive Films of Aceclofenac using 32 Factorial Design with Design-Expert Software

Abstract: Aim and Objectives: The main motto of this work was to search the additive effect Datura stramonium leaves mucilage in making buccoadhesive film by taking Aceclofenac as a model drug. Materials Methods: Nine formulations buccal films were made using Carbopol 934 P varying proportions Ethyl Cellulose D. mucilage. judged for compatibility studies physical constraints including content discharge. Results: Among F-9 containing 1:1 ethyl cellulose; 1:0.5 ratios Aceclofenac: found have good Mucoadhesion time (10.5±0.1h) Bioadhesive strength (5.5±0.2g). formulation F2 showed highest % release i.e., 92.85% up 8 h. Conclusion: study resolved that drug delivery system with cellulose aided meets ideal requirement devices is an efficient approach surpass hepatic first-pass metabolism increase bioavailability.
